ü Some blood banks are operating without valid
licenses. In Assam five persons contracted HIV
(Human Immunodeficiency Virus) after being given contaminated Blood.
ü The Gauhati High Court asked the government
to strictly follow the guidelines formulated by NACO
(National AIDS Control Organization). The court also asked the authorities to
shut down those blood banks operating without valid licenses.
ü As these types of incidents are happening throughout
the country what should be done?
