JYOTHI
OF BANGALORE on November 19:
ü It was seven hours and 10 minutes in the
morning in Bangalore. Jyothi went to an ATM centre to withdraw money. The
security guard was absent (reasons are not known). A man with weapons entered
inside and pulled down the shutters. Jyothi was assaulted. When she refused
to withdraw money and tried to escape she was beaten very badly and the
injuries were so severe.
ü Jyothi was bleeding continuously for 3
hours. Doctors said that it was a direct injury to the brain and her right
hand and leg were paralyzed.
ü Police are investigating but the person was
still not traced.
ü The entire country is with Jyothi and she
is very much laudable and a symbol of courage. She tried to protest and come
out of the clutches. Even after severe injuries she started pulling herself
towards the door.
THINK:
ü Is the country’s responsibility over just
by saying Jyothi, we are with you?
ü What women should do during difficult
circumstances?
ü Why some men behave ruthlessly? What should
be done to stop such type of atrocities?
ü What action should be taken on the bank for
the absence of security at ATM?
ü Is it not a shame on the society and the
system when such brutal and barbaric indents take place in the nation?
