Bengal) Godala Kiran Kumar was arrested by the Police Commissioner of siliguri
K Jayaraman.
ü This is with respect to the alleged misappropriation
of development funds including sewerage, tender work and supply of CCTV cameras
when he was CEO of Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development authority.
ü The collector was remanded to the police
custody for 4 days.

said that the police commissioner exceeded brief in arresting the collector.
