A K GANGULY:


ü  The law intern who accused Justice (Retd) A K Ganguly told the panel that the judge made advances towards her despite her clear disapproval.


ü  During that time the retired Judge was the one-man committee appointed by the AIFF (All India Football Federation).

ü  He was enquiring into I-League violence during a match between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal Clubs.

TELENGANA TURN:

COMMUNAL VIOLENCE BILL:


ü  The government is planning to pass the Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Repatriations) bill.

ü  The main opposition party BJP declared that it is going to oppose the bill when it comes up for the discussion on the grounds that it would be a threat to India’s communal harmony.



ARTICLE 370:


ü  This article provides for the special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

ü  The BJP announced that if NDA (National Democratic Alliance) comes to power it will abrogate the article 370 of the Indian Constitution.

ü  The BJP referred to the statements that were given by Jawaharlal Nehru during the meetings of the Constituent Assembly that he said it was only a temporary provision of special status.
