PAY COMMISSION:
ü The
pay commission advises the government to revise the pay scales of the
employees.
ü 7th
pay commission has been constituted revises the salaries of 50 lakhs employees of
central government and remuneration of 30 lakh pensioners.
ü The
former Judge of the India’s apex court Justice Ashok Kumar Mathur has been appointed
as the Chairman.
ü Former
Justice Ashok Kumar Mathur was heading the Armed Forces Tribunal before being
appointed as the chairman of the Pay Commission.
ü The
7th pay commission submits the report in 2 years and the
recommendations are implemented from January 1, 2016.
